Join us for a Katie the Catsitter #5: Villain Con release party! Middle school is a roller coaster and lately Katie doesn’t know which way is up or down, who’s a hero…and who’s a villain. Maybe it’s time for a change. After all, Madeline is running for mayor to try to change things in the city. Maybe Katie’s changing too. Maybe some of the things she thought she knew about villains—and about heroes—were wrong. Get ready for more drama and disguises, more friendship and fun (and cats, definitely more cats!)

Colleen will read from her new book and do an audience Q&A. Kids and families are welcome to dress as their favorite cats, characters, or villains!

A book signing will follow the program. Can’t make it? You may reserve signed books online.

Who You'll Meet

Colleen AF Venable

Colleen AF (Ann Felicity) Venable is the author of many books for kids, including the indie bestseller Katie the Catsitter series and adapting the classic Junie B. Jones series into graphic novels. She’s been nominated for multiple Eisners, dozens of state awards, and was longlisted for a National Book Award for her YA graphic novel debut, Kiss Number 8. Colleen splits her time between an itty-bitty room in Brooklyn, New York, and a big 150 year old house in North Adams, Massachusetts.
