Dress up in your very fanciest outfit and join us for a special storytime and discussion with sister collaborators! Author Jacqueline Preiss Weitzman and artist Robin Preiss Glasser will read the latest Fancy Nancy story Fancy Nancy: Besties for Eternity (in celebration of Fancy Nancy’s 20th anniversary!) as well as their book Flower Girls: A Story of Sisters.

All kids and grown-ups are encouraged to wear their fanciest clothes or most fantastic costumes to this festive event!

A book signing and craft table will follow the program. Can’t make the event? You may reserve autographed books online.

Jacqueline Preiss Weitzman and Robin Preiss Glasser

Jacqueline Preiss Weitzman is the author of several books for children, including the award-winning You Can’t Take a Balloon into the Metropolitan Museum and its sequels created with her sister Robin Preiss Glasser of Fancy Nancy fame, and the critically acclaimed Superhero Joe books, illustrated by Ron Barrett. Her most recent books are Gloria’s Promise: A Ballet Dancer’s First Steps, and Flower Girls: A Story of Sisters, both co-authored with her sister Robin. Jacqueline lives in Hastings-on-Hudson, NY with her husband, writer Larry Weitzman.

Robin Preiss Glasser has had two careers, the first as a professional ballet dancer and the second as a children’s book illustrator. With over 100 books to her credit, and winner of the Children’s Book Council’s “Illustrator of the Year Award” in 2013, Robin is best known as the illustrator of the Fancy Nancy series. Robin’s most recent books are The Verts, written by international best-selling novelist Ann Patchett, and Fancy Nancy: Besties for Eternity, written by Jane O’Connor.
