The Carle is pleased to welcome Jarrett J. Krosoczka and Dr. Catherine A. Sanderson as the 2026 Educators’ Night guest speakers.

This event is free and open to all educators as space permits. Reservations are required.

Schedule of events

3:30–4:30 pm

Guests will have time to browse the Museum, enjoy light refreshments, and collect free materials for their classroom.

4:30–5:30 pm

Lecture followed by Q&A.

5:30–6:30 pm

Book signing and Museum exploration.

Artist Jarrett J. Krosoczka

Jarrett J. Krosoczka

Jarrett J. Krosoczka is an award-winning, New York Times bestselling author and illustrator of more than forty books for young readers, including the graphic memoir Hey, Kiddo, a finalist for the National Book Award, and its follow-up Sunshine. He also created the wildly popular Lunch Lady graphic novels and has written for Spider-Man, Star Wars, and Snoopy. Realizing his books can inspire young readers beyond the page, Krosoczka founded the School Lunch Hero Day campaign and established a scholarship to fund art classes for underprivileged children in his hometown. Krosoczka and his family live in western Massachusetts.​​​​

Dr. Catherine A. Sanderson

Dr. Catherine Sanderson, a Princeton and Stanford-educated psychologist, is a sought-after keynote speaker and the Poler Family Professor of Psychology at Amherst College who delivers engaging, research-based talks that help audiences thrive at work and in life. She is the author of The Positive Shift and Why We Act, recorded the popular Introduction to Psychology course for The Great Courses, and delivered a widely viewed TEDx talk on the Psychology of Inaction, exploring why people stay silent — and how to build moral courage in workplaces and communities.
