Stories We Carry

For Families

Join us for an evening of live music and community!

What stories live inside the things we choose to keep?

Inspired by The Precious Things We Share exhibition as part of The Carle After Dark, come explore the memories, people, and traditions connected to meaningful objects.

Visitors are invited to bring a small object that matters to them. Through art making, writing, and conversation, families can shape and share the story of an object in their own way.

A growing installation will collect short object stories from throughout the evening, creating a portrait of the memories and meanings our community carries with us. At the end of the night, the objects stay with their owners, and the stories remain shared.

Story Times at 4:30, 5:30, and 6:30 p.m., live music, and light refreshments create space to linger, listen, and reflect together.

Live music is sponsored by Northampton Jazz Fest and produced by Nate Gowen.
