Viva Ferdinand!
Free with Museum admission
As part of The Carle After Dark series and inspired by The Story of Ferdinand, join us for an evening of live music and imagination as we celebrate a character who reminds us that sometimes the most powerful thing to do is pause and enjoy the beauty all around us.
Latin guitarist Juan Burwell and other musicians will perform from 4–7 pm. Throughout the Museum, visitors are invited to take part in building a shared work of art. A growing Field of Flowers will take shape as families contribute to a large collaborative collage each bloom adding to a vibrant landscape inspired by Ferdinand’s meadow.
Story times inspired by Ferdinand and other picture book favorites will take place at 4:30 pm, 5:30 pm, and 6:30 pm, and the Art Studio will be open with our Everyday Art Project, offering additional opportunities to explore materials and create.
Live music is sponsored by Northampton Jazz Fest.
