Very Silly Caterpillars

Every year in March we celebrate Very Hungry Caterpillar Day with a fun caterpillar-themed activity in The Studio. This year guests made very silly caterpillars with tons of colorful found materials glued to cardboard bases.

We had the materials on a large table setup like a buffet and guests collected what they wanted to use.

It’s always fun to watch families and friends work collaboratively on their art projects. Guests were really excited to make their 2D and 3D caterpillars together!

Public Art Program Educator from 2007-2016, Diana has a BFA in Printmaking from Syracuse University and creates mixed-media works inspired by her travels, combining her interests in printmaking and sculpture. She received her M.A.T. from Mount Holyoke College in June 2017, and continues teaching visual arts to children and adults.
