Antonio Frasconi

Born in Argentina and raised in Uruguay, Antonio Frasconi developed a prolific artistic career in the United States. He was a master printer who created intricate woodcuts with powerful social commentary. Frasconi also produced picture books that promoted intercultural understanding through multilingual texts and inventive design.
