Arnold Lobel: Alone Together

Frog

Alone Together, the first major retrospective of Arnold Lobel’s work in Japan, features 200 original illustrations from 30 picture books. This touring exhibition commemorates the 50th anniversary of Frog and Toad’s publication in Japan.

This exhibition is organized by The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art, Amherst, Massachusetts.

Arnold Lobel

In his short life, Arnold Lobel illustrated nearly 100 children’s books. The Carle’s extensive collection of Lobel’s work includes art from his beloved Frog and Toad series. Lobel’s children Adrianne and Adam generously donated more than 500 works by their father to the Museum.
