Calling Gen X! Dust off your bell bottoms and anything crocheted, and join Joshua Sitron and Mya Plunkett for a groovy sing-along, piano karaoke, and dance party inspired by the hit 1970’s record and book, Free to Be…You and Me. Prepare to laugh, dance, sip, and sing your heart out with other Free to Be lovers as we play through the groundbreaking 1972 children’s album of songs and stories. Want to sing or dance to your favorite 70’s song? We’ll be concluding the evening with an all request live piano karaoke and dance line. Be ready to boogie!

Light refreshments and beer and wine included with ticket purchase. Ages 21+. Lyrics & text will be projected for all to see and sing-along, and 1970’s attire is strongly encouraged!

Musician Joshua Sitron

Joshua Sitron

Josh has written music for Nickelodeon, Disney, PBS, CBS, and Showtime, including the show Dora the Explorer, for which he served as musical director and composed the theme song. Josh is a leading improv accompanist, having performed hundreds of spontaneous, completely improvised theater and musical comedy performances with dozens of troupes in NYC and Massachusetts. In recent years, Josh hosts and accompanies all comers at his weekly live piano karaoke & singalong party club, The Request Room, at his studio.
