Members' Gallery Talk with Claire A. Nivola and H. Nichols B. Clark

The daughter of artists, Claire A. Nivola drew incessantly as a child and developed exceptional facility. Her subjects range from the personal—stories of her family—to the chronicles of such prominent women as poet Emily Dickinson, author Emma Lazarus, and Nobel Laureate Wangari Maathai. Nick Clark is the Founding Director and Chief Curator Emeritus of The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art in Amherst, MA. He currently serves as the Founding Director of The Ashley Bryan Center in Islesford, ME. Previously, he worked at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta, the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., the Lamont Gallery at Phillips Exeter Academy, and the Chrysler Museum of Art in Norfolk, VA. Clark received his B.A. cum laude from Harvard University and his M.A. and Ph.D. in Art History from the University of Delaware.
