As a flock of ravens circles the Stone Tower where they live, three scared mice send a desperate note to Hector Fox, seeking help. Was the long-feared Raven’s Revenge finally coming true? Did danger lie ahead? With the note and a mysterious black feather as clues, Hector and his woodland friends set out to solve the mystery and hopefully save the day.

Astrid Sheckels will read her latest picture book, Hector Fox and the Raven’s Revenge (the second adventure in the Hector Fox series), and do a drawing demonstration. You can also download fun activities at www.hectorfox.com.

Astrid Sheckels

Astrid Sheckels, a native of western Massachusetts, has always enjoyed stories involving imaginary animals, so she felt right at home bringing an assortment of animals to life in her detailed watercolor illustrations. Her award-winning titles include Hector Fox and the Giant Quest, Nic and Nellie, The Fish House Door (illustrator), and The Scallop Christmas (illustrator). She describes her art as a mix of classic realism and whimsy.
