Join author/artist R. W. Alley as he shares his new book, Firefighters to the Rescue! Set in the town of Breezy Valley, this book introduces children to the different things people do in the community around them through enjoyable stories and fun illustrations loaded with details. With lively action, equipment details, and cross-section pictures, Firefighters to the Rescue! will have young firefighter fans engaged throughout this delightful story.

During the program Alley will share slides and create drawings to describe his path to creating this new book and book series.

R.W. Alley

R.W. (Bob) Alley has been illustrating original stories since he was a child and illustrated his first children’s book, The Ghost in Dobbs’ Diner in 1981, which was published by Parents Magazine Press. Bob’s best-known work has come out of Michael Bond’s Paddington Bear series which he has been illustrating for the past 20 years. He currently lives and works in Rhode Island with his author wife, Zoë B. Alley.
