Trashworks: The Art of Jeanne Steig

Street finds and discarded objects provide the inspiration and raw materials for Jeanne Steig’s whimsical creations. No button or rusty nail is too insignificant to escape her eagle eye and transformative vision. The result is a collection of sculptures ranging from theatrical tableau to mysteriously totemic figures. Steig is the author of three books of verse and two books of prose, all illustrated by her husband, William Steig.
