Join the Roccos for a reading of their newest book, How To Send A Hug, celebrating the magic of sending and receiving hand-written letters. After storytime, participants will be invited to craft their own special HUGs for family and friends.

Hayley and John Rocco

Hayley Rocco has worked in children’s publishing for more than a decade. She’s been sending hugs since she was six. It was only natural that she created a book about how to do just that. Hayley lives in Rhode Island with her husband, John Rocco, two cats, three birds, and a very excitable dog. This is her first book.

John Rocco has been creating children’s books for more than fifteen years. His books have won many awards, including a Caldecott Honor for his book Blackout. His most recent book, How We Got To The Moon, was longlisted for the National Book Award. Hayley has been teaching John how to send hugs, and he’s starting to get pretty good at it.
