Summer Nights at The Carle

Chris James J is an American singer/songwriter from Western Massachusetts who plays guitar, harmonica, and sings a variety of originals and favorites. Reminiscent of artists like Jackson Browne, Tom Petty and Jack Johnson, Chris creates an easy-listening vibe with his lightly percussive acoustic playing and vocal harmonies. His style is influenced by alt-country, rock, funk, and hip hop. Drawing from meaningful real-life experiences, fiction, and bits of conversation overheard at the supermarket checkout, Chris’ lyrics range from sweet sentimental storytelling to abstract and absurdist rhyming.

Kelly Walbert (she/her) is a teacher naturalist with Mass Audubon, based out of Arcadia Wildlife Sanctuary in Easthampton. A former elementary teacher, Kelly leads Arcadia’s K-12 school programs and public family programs. She is passionate about inspiring children to explore and appreciate the natural world, fostering their curiosity along the way.

Audrey Helen Weber is a picture book author and illustrator from Massachusetts. They are the author and illustrator of On the Day the Horse Got Out and The Wind & the Clover and the illustrator of Tumblebaby by Adam Rex and Gwendolyn and the Light by Susan Yoon. Aud lives and works in a small town by the Connecticut River with a fuzzy black cat and a lot of used books. Their work explores the way things grow, the way things change, and how to find little moments of wonder in the chaos of our big, beautiful, complicated world.
