Wedding Rentals

Host your wedding at The Carle, with a reception in the light-filled Great Hall and a ceremony in our courtyard. 

• The Carle is able to accommodate up to 150 guests for a seated wedding reception. For standing receptions, the Museum can comfortably fit up to 300 guests.
• Spaces available include an expansive Great Hall, a courtyard, and a Café, an Auditorium that seats 135, and three galleries featuring some of the world’s finest picture book art.
• All weddings are considered 5-hour full museum rentals and must take place outside of regular Museum hours. 
• A Friends and Family Membership is required host a wedding at The Carle.

Other Rental Options

The Carle’s contemporary, light-filled rental spaces can be adapted to suit a variety of needs. 

• The Café, Auditorium, and Art Studio are available to fit your event! Business meetings, university retreats, baby showers, school performances, and more have all taken place here at The Carle.
• The Café and Auditorium can be available during or after museum hours depending on the event. Art Studio rentals must be outside of Museum operating hours.
• Café Rentals can accommodate up to 75, Auditorium Rentals can accommodate around 135, and Art Studio rentals can accommodate up to 50.
• For small retreats and meetings, we have a Conference Room available that seats 10.
• A Friends and Family Membership is required for rentals with more than 15 guests at The Carle.
