Eligibility
The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art Internship Program accepts applications from applicants 18 years or older interested in learning about the many skills and career-tracks that are part of the art museum experience.
Deadlines
Internship applications are due on March 1st.
Applications must be submitted electronically by end of day on the deadline date. If the deadline falls on a Sunday or holiday, materials must be submitted on the next business day.
Application process
Applicants are required to complete an online application and to upload a resume. Please consider this application as your cover letter, answering the questions to highlight your skills, experience, and areas of interest.

If you need an access accommodation, have a question regarding available accommodations, or need this application in an alternative format, please contact hr@carlemuseum.org

To keep biases in check and create a fair and consistent recruitment experience for all, we apply principles of “blind hiring” in our application review process. Responses to the questions below will be used for an initial screening of applicants with names and addresses removed. These will be added back later in the review process.

As an institution and as a team of museum professionals, The Carle is committed to diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion (DEAI). We bring these values to our exhibitions, programs, partnerships, and organizational culture. Through ongoing professional development, we continue to expand our DEAI knowledge and are striving to diversify our team, currently made up of 40 hard-working, art- and book-loving staff members, with additional support from 35 volunteers.
