The Carle Community Fund

Learn about the many ways the fund makes The Carle more affordable and accessible to families, schools, and educators.

For schools and teachers:

Field Trip and Virtual Program Scholarships

The Carle Community Fund finances both guided tours of the Museum and virtual programs for US Title 1 public schools (all grades, all states). Eligible field trip and virtual program scholarships are awarded at random on a rolling basis.

Teacher Workshop Scholarships

The Carle Community Fund covers the cost of professional development workshops offered by The Carle, both onsite and virtual. Scholarships are awarded at random and offered on a quarterly basis. US preschool teachers and elementary teachers at Title I schools are eligible to apply for individual scholarships.

For social service organizations:

Access Pass Program

The Carle’s Access Pass Program aims to support community, collaboration, and creativity, and to give more families access to The Carle to experience art and books. To be eligible for the Access Pass Program, social service agencies must have proof of 501(c)3 status, have a mission focused on supporting families, and be located in Hampshire, Hampden, or Franklin County.

For individuals and families:

EBT Card to Culture Program

Through the Carle Community Fund, we participate in the Card to Culture program, a collaboration between Mass Cultural Council and the Department of Transitional Assistance, the Women, Infants & Children (WIC) Nutrition Program, and the Massachusetts Health Connector, by providing free admission for up to four people with any of these cards:
